Milagai podi, also known as dosai milagai podi, idli kaaram, or gun powder is an excellent side for idlis/dosais. It is typically mixed with oil/ghee and the idli/dosa is dipped in this powder and eaten. It tastes excellent mixed with yogurt, and made into a dip.
