Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh mint leaves
- 2 tbsp Coriander seeds
- 10-12 dry red chilies
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp chana dal
- 1 tbsp urad dal
- 1 small lime sized ball of puli/tamarind
- 1 tsp oil

Instructions
- Wash and dry mint leaves on a clean kitchen towel for a few hours. I let them dry for almost a day
- Roast coriander seeds, chana dal, urad dal, red chilies, and cumin seeds in that order in the heated oil. Hack: You may also throw them all together if in a hurry. Add the dried mint leaves, and saute until the mint is bone dry
- Cool the mix, and blend into a somewhat coarse powder, adding salt to taste
- Enjoy with idlis, dosais, hot rice and ghee/oil.
- This powder was made with the fresh mint from my garden!
- Mint, aside from being fresh and fragnant and bursting with flavor, also has health benefits - it's supposed to be great for digestion.
